Center for Research and Development of Digital Libraries (CRADLE)
Based at the University of North Carolina, the center is interested in the migration, management, and accessibility of digital information. It serves as a test bed for the development of new methodologies and also focuses on training and education by collaborating with other academic units, companies and organizations. Center for the Study of Digital Libraries
Established in 1995 at Texas A&M University and builds upon research developed in the Hypermedia Research Laboratory established in 1987. Includes research, publications, events and course information.


Colorado Digitization Project
A collaborative initiative to provide access to the unique collections of local archives, historical societies, libraries, and museums. Includes guidelines, standards, resources and links to further information.


DELOS Network of Excellence on Digital Libraries (FP5)
An initiative funded by the European Commission's Information Society Technologies 5th Framework Programme (IST-FP5) to support and encourage research activities.

An initiative funded by the European Union's Information Society Technologies 6th Framework Programme to integrate and coordinate ongoing research activities within Europe and disseminate knowledge.


Desire Project
